Booking & Fees
Q: Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, we have a 2 night minimum stay.
Arrival & Departure
Q: What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. You’ll have self check-in via keypad, so arrival is simple and flexible.
Q: Can we request early check-in or late check-out?
Sometimes we can accommodate, just ask, and we’ll do our best depending on the cleaning schedule.
Comfort & Amenities
Q: Are linens and towels included?
Yes! Fresh linens, bath towels, and even beach towels and chairs are provided.
Q: Is there WiFi?
Yes, the home has WiFi throughout.
Q: Do you have streaming or cable?
There are two smart TVs in the house where you can login to your own streaming services.
Q: Is there air conditioning?
There’s no AC, but both bedrooms have ceiling fans, and Tahoe evenings cool off quickly. In winter, the central heating keeps everything cozy.
Q: Is there laundry?
Yes, there’s a washer and dryer available for guest use.
Kitchen & Dining
Q: Is the kitchen fully stocked?
Absolutely, whether you’re cooking pancakes on the electric griddle, blending smoothies in the Vitamix, or using the sparkling water machine, you’ll have everything you need. Other appliances include a waffle maker, toaster oven, blender, dishwasher, coffee maker, induction range, oven, microwave, and filtered water/ice from the fridge.
Q: Do you provide pantry basics or coffee?
We don’t keep any food items in the house (our bear neighbors are too curious), so please plan to stop by Sunnyside Market, Raley's, or Safeway on your way in. Or treat yourself to morning coffee at Sugar Pine Bakery, one of our local favorites.
Accessibility & Layout
Q: Is the home wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, no. The house is a tri level with stairs leading up to the entrance from the parking pad.
Q: How many guests can the home accommodate?
Pine and Pier House accommodates up to 8 guests with a mix of sleep arrangements:

Safety & Security
Q: Are there cameras?
Yes, there’s a Ring doorbell camera at the front door for your safety.
Q: What safety equipment is in the home?

Q: Where can we eat nearby?
Some of our favorites:

Gar Woods (less than a mile away) perfect for lunch, dinner, rock skipping, or watching fireworks on the 4th of July or New Year’s Eve.

Sugar Pine Bakery amazing coffee, espresso, and pastries.

Christy Hill and Wolfdale’s wonderful for a date night or special celebration.

Sunnyside Market quick stop for sandwiches, groceries, and just about anything you need.
Q: How close are you to the slopes?

Homewood – about 10 minutes, local and easy to navigate, ski like a local.

Palisades Tahoe – about 15 minutes, with world-class Olympic skiing.

Northstar - about 20 minutes, get the full resort experience.
Q: How close are you to the lake?
Just one street away from the clear waters of Lake Tahoe, a lake path with pier is just across the street.
